A local's shortlist
San Miguel has more restaurants than it has parking spots, & most of the "top 10" lists you'll read online are copy-pasted from each other. This one isn't. These are the rooms I send people to when I have skin in the game: a first night in town, a closing dinner, a slow Sunday after a property tour. If you only have a few meals here, start with these.

Reliable, polished Mexican cooking in a setting that works for a first-time visit or a quiet client lunch. Order anything from the parrilla & ask for a table on the patio when the weather cooperates.

My default breakfast meeting. Wood-fired bread, proper espresso, eggs done well. Sit upstairs if you can, it stays quiet even when the ground floor fills up.

Ceviche, tostadas, cold beer, no fuss. Good lunch stop on a walking day. Portions are honest & the salsas are real.

Mexican comfort food
Big menu, comfortable patio, dependable on a Sunday afternoon. A safe recommendation when guests want classic Mexican without thinking too hard about it.

Tacos done with care & a tequila list that rewards a few extra minutes. Late-evening energy without crossing into rowdy.
